Welcome to our slice of paradise! You'll find all the right ingredients here: the chance to get up close and personal with farm animals, glorious views all around, lots of space and - the icing on the cake - campfires allowed.
Relax, splash in the pool, make new friends, enjoy nature, go for a walk from the campsite or a day trip with the handy Lazy tourist app. In the summer 'Lazy' is a paradise for children. Play outside, swim, get dirty, make friends! Discover the farm; feed the chickens, cuddle the goats, ride a pony and pet a pig.

Campsite
We have modern camping facilities on-site that include: 2 complete family bathrooms and 3 flushing loos, 2 washing basins and 3 hot showers, 3 eco-toilets in wooden enclosures, 4 washing up basins, drinking water, recycling, freezer (for you to freeze your own freezer blocks), washing machine, an outdoor kitchen with cookers and fidges, WiFi, electric hook-ups 4/6 A and a fridge with cold drinks and fresh farm products . We aim to keep our facilities scrupulously clean at all times. We are a family friendly campsite, so for the consideration of others we ask everyone to keep the noise levels down in the evenings.
In the summer months; three times a week a meal is served by families from the area, the baker with the bread van comes to the campsite and in the weekends as do local producers with handicrafts and farm products.
The farm and the animals
Farm Lazy has +/- 10 goats of all ages. We are also home to a flock of friendly chickens, two funny pigs and six beautiful horses. Children can learn about life on a farm and where their food comes from by helping with the feeding of the animals and gathering eggs. Spend a few days on our farm and you’ll come away with memories, great stories and probably a new favorite animal. We will share stories of the farm and its characters while we introduce you to our livestock.
We grow natural meadow hay in the fields next to the camping areas, where wild flowers thrive. The meadows change over the season, with shorter grass and flowers in April and May, lush green grass and swooping house martins in June, clouds of butterflies in July and tall golden seed heads in August and September.

2025 Prices
Standard-rate per day for 1 - 2 p. incl. tourist tax and car/tent/camper/caravan and extra tents: €22.50 Departure before 14:00 and arrival after 14:00.
Eco-rate per day for 1-2 non-motorized hikers/cyclists (without car/motorcycle/bus etc.) €12.50
Extra
- Electricity 4 - 6 amps p.d. €4,-
- Extra persons (>2 years) p.d. €4,-
- Late departure 14:00 - 18:00 €10,- departure after 18:00 €22.50
One dog is free, more only on agree,emt. Dogs on the campsite must be kept on a leash and are not allowed on the playground, toilet building or near the farm animals and other guests. In order to fully enjoy nature, no radio music is played on the campsite.
N.B. Use biodegradable products in your chemical toilet cassette.

What to visit in the region Hont?
If this is your first visit to the Region Hont in Slovakia, you're in for a nice surprise. Beautiful nature, sleepy little villages with a 'communist feeling', folk festivals, castle ruins, historical cities and especially the peaceful countryside. And as big advantage, all these interesting sights are not overrun by tourists.......
How to get hereTravelling from the East and North - From Bratislava and Banska Bystrica drive to Zvolen. In Zvolen take the road towards Sahy (E77/68). Then take the junction to the left, road 527, direction V.Krtis - Senohrad. Drive till Senohrad, go through the village and turn right a few kilometers outside the village direction Suchan. Continue on this road, through Suchan and after aprox. 8 km you will see our bright yellow/black sign with LAZY. Turn right. Welcome!
From Hungary (Budapest) cross the border at Balassagyarmat and take the small road heading north to Cebovce. In Cebovce you take the road north signposted Senohrad/Zvolen. This road connects Cebovce with Suchan. We are situated halfway. |

About us
We left the Netherlands in 1999 to work in development aid in Burkina Faso and Mali (West Africa). Ten years later we decided to turn our life around and become farmers in a remote area of Slovakia. With the help of lovely neighbours we managed to create a little paradise of an old abandoned farm. A place were nice people meet and have a wonderful time. In 2009 our daughter Katinka was born which made our family complete.
Our biggest challenge is still to master the difficult Slovak language, however we do speak it reasonable and several other languages fluently so communication is never a problem.
